Presence Resurrection names RN as its July employee of the month

Presence Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago has named Hanan Kaleel, RN, its employee of the month for July. Kaleel, a nurse on 4 South, one of the medical center’s inpatient care units, was nominated by a family member of a former patient, according to a news release.

“I am so glad she was assigned to us,” the patient wrote. “She went over all medications being administered to my mom, answered questions and was careful to explain dosage. I wish she could be my mom’s nurse permanently. She was absolutely wonderful.”

According to the release, the nominator said Kaleel is “the epitome of living the service promises,” which Presence Health defines as honesty (accountable for actions), oneness (partnered with other members of the team), people (treated everyone with respect and dignity) and excellence (made sure everything went well).

Presence Resurrection Medical Center recognizes one employee each month who embodies these service promises, by performing an extraordinary act, exceeding expectations or providing outstanding service that made a significant difference to a patient, family member, physician or co-worker.

Employees who receive the monthly recognition are celebrated throughout the medical center and receive several prizes, including a lapel pin and certificate, according to the release.
