Nyack Hospital nurse receives annual scholarship award

Nyack (N.Y) Hospital has awarded the second annual Margaret Mary Kennedy Nursing Scholarship to Rina Elias, RN.
Elias is pursuing a master’s degree at Pace University, Manhattan.
“I am honored to have received the Margaret Mary Kennedy Scholarship,” Elias said in a news release. “My goals are to continue lifelong learning and to provide compassionate nursing care to my patients.”
The scholarship is made possible by a gift from Peter Kennedy of Orangeburg, N.Y., in honor of the nursing care his wife received at Nyack.
“I am proud to provide this opportunity for Nyack Hospital employees to pursue nursing education,” Kennedy said in the release. “Not only does this gift honor Margaret’s memory, but it allows me to give back to the people who provided her with such wonderful care while supporting nursing excellence for the future.”
The scholarship is awarded annually to a Nyack employee enrolled in a nursing program or for RNs pursuing an advanced degree.
