Oak Hill Hospital appoints RN as vice president of quality, patient safety

Oak Hill Hospital, Spring Hill, Fla., appointed Peggy Madill, MBA, BSN, RN, as vice president of quality and patient safety. Madill comes to Oak Hill with a background as a chief compliance officer, chief clinical officer, chief information officer and as a chief quality officer, according to a July 28 news release.

She has been a clinical administrator and executive director for Chapters Health System, which manages the following three hospices in the Tampa Bay area: LifePath, Good Shepherd and HPH. Madill has also served as assistant vice president at UCH Health System, which is now Florida Hospital in Tampa.

The Florida native grew up in the Tampa region, according to the release. She started her career as an associate’s degree nurse and has earned her BSN from University of South Florida, Tampa, and her MBA from Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

She is a licensed healthcare risk manager, certified as a health information technology clinician/practitioner consultant, and a certified professional in healthcare quality.

In making the announcement in the news release, Michael A. Torres, MD, MBA, FAAFP, CPE, the chief medical officer at Oak Hill said, “She brings a wealth of healthcare management experience in acute care, hospice and palliative care, and home healthcare. She will be a tremendous asset to our organization.”
