Victoria King, MSN, MHA, RN, has been named the first system CNO for PeaceHealth, Vancouver, Wash. She will begin serving in the role May 4, according to a news release.
King most recently was the CNO for Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center, Houston. From California, she is board certified as a nurse executive advanced, holds master’s degrees in healthcare administration and nursing, and is a co-founder of the Global Nursing Conference.
In her new role, King will work with nurses, system and community leaders, physicians and others to build a strong standardized nursing care model throughout PeaceHealth.
“I am looking forward to partnering with PeaceHealth leaders, particularly in the areas of clinical care, quality, safety and patient experience programs,” King said in the release.
“Victoria will help define what it means to be a PeaceHealth nurse,” Beth O’Brien, PeaceHealth’s chief operating officer, said in the release. “She brings a wealth of experience as a national nursing leader. She is known for creating strong and enduring nursing collaboration with physicians, patients and the communities we serve. We believe her leadership will bring a new era of nursing practice excellence at PeaceHealth.”
