The Long Island Federally Qualified Health Centers, Inc., part of NuHealth System, East Meadow, N.Y., has announced the promotion of Stacey C. Jackson Harley, MA, BSN, RN, to vice president of operations.
Harley previously served as the director of nursing of the center. LIFQHC are community-based and patient-directed health centers that serve populations with limited access to healthcare, according to a news release.
“I am honored, and it is with great enthusiasm that I accept my new role within the LIFQHC, Inc., serving the local communities in providing quality outpatient care to Nassau’s most vulnerable residents,” Harley said in the release.
The health centers are located in Elmont, Hempstead, Freeport, Roosevelt and Westbury/New Cassel. Harley will be responsible for overseeing practice managers and nurse managers at each of the sites.
She earned her BSN from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla., and an MA degree in nursing administration from NYU.
Harley has worked in various health settings and held multi-faceted nursing leadership roles. She is an active member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives and the New York Organization of Nurse Executives.
