Ann M. Painter, MSN, RN, president and CEO of the Visiting Nurse Association of Somerset Hills, Basking Ridge, N.J., has been appointed to the New Jersey Collaborating Center for Nursing board.
Established by legislation in 2002, the center works to promote evidence-based recommendations about the nursing workforce and its role in the New Jersey healthcare system, according to a news release. Painter was appointed to the position by Stephen M. Sweeny, president of the state Senate.
Painter’s goals, according to the release, are a commitment to increasing awareness of innovative care models, high-quality outcomes and cost effectiveness of mission-based nonprofit healthcare.
She has more than 24 years of experience in home health, hospice and community-based health services, and serves as chair of the Home Care Association of New Jersey, an organization offering information, assistance and advocacy for home healthcare providers, patients and their families.
Painter was recognized in 2014 by the Executive Women of New Jersey at its Salute to Policy Makers Awards dinner.
