Violence by psychiatric patients

Regarding the article “Violence remains an issue for psychiatric hospital staff,” I was recently assaulted on the job and I didn’t feel it was appropriate to press charges against a psychiatric patient. So here I’ve sat for several months receiving rehab, on crutches, with a leg and neck brace and so on, and not even knowing if I’ll be able to return to work. Hopefully, in the near future, something can be done to help psychiatric nurses.
