Memorial Hermann Katy selects new CNO

Memorial Hermann Katy (Texas) Hospital has selected Linda Stephens, BSN, MBA, RN, as its new CNO.

“Linda has more than two decades of experience in healthcare,” Jim Parisi, CEO of Memorial Hermann Katy, said in a news release. “She has a proven record of delivering results in the fast-paced hospital environment, and her commitment to high quality and safe patient care is unparalleled.”

Stephens will oversee all nursing functions and patient care practices within Memorial Hermann Katy, according to the release. She will work hand-in-hand with COO John Kueven to manage daily operations and financial performance, and is accountable for regulatory standards compliance, patient satisfaction, patient safety, quality of patient care and employee engagement.

In her most recent position, Stephens served as the CNO at Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital in Humble, Texas, where she had administrative oversight of patient care delivery and nursing practice in all clinical areas, including medical/surgical, oncology, wound care, intensive care services, cardiology, pharmacy, laboratory and emergency care. During her tenure, she helped the hospital achieve the Pathway to Excellence designation, which recognizes healthcare institutions where nurses excel.

Before her employment at Memorial Hermann Northeast, Stephens worked for the Nashville-based Hospital Corporation of America, serving as CNO representative for the Gulf Coast Division on the Corporate CNO Council. She was a mentor in the CNO development program. •
