NurseWise, a national multilingual nurse triage and health education provider, was awarded the Health Information Product 2 certification from the National Committee for Quality Assurance, according to a news release. NurseWise has locations in Tempe, Ariz.; El Paso and Tyler, Texas; Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Atlanta; and St. Louis.
NCQAs HIP 2 certification is based on evaluations conducted by a team of healthcare professionals, according to the release. A national oversight committee of physicians analyzes the teams findings and awards or denies certification based on compliance with NCQA standards.
NCQAs HIP 2 certification demonstrates our emphasis on continuous improvement and commitment to quality at all levels of the organization, Kim Tuck, RN, president and CEO of NurseWise, said in the release. For our clients and those they serve, it reflects our dedication to provide the highest quality service and assistance in addressing health, wellness and disease-prevention needs.
According to the NCQA, by working with certified HIP vendors, NCQA-accredited health plans receive automatic credit for 100% compliance toward their own accreditation survey. The result is a streamlined survey process and strengthening of partnership between high-performing organizations.
