Nurses on boards

Regarding the article “National coalition launches effort to place 10,000 nurses on governing boards” (www.Nurse.com/Article/Nurses-Boards-Goals), I have thought this myself many times, as I am the perfect person to be on a board. I have many years of experience in public and private sectors working on a variety of health issues and with a variety of partners. I set and deal with budgets, political priorities, communicating with public and private sectors, have worked locally/regionally/nationally, but I don’t know how to come to the attention of boards that would benefit from my expertise. Can you make any suggestions?
