Florida Board of Nursing announces new leadership

Ann-Lynn Denker, PhD, ARNP, was elected as chairwoman and Linda Horton, PhD, EdD, MSN, RN, JD, was re-elected in November as vice-chairwoman of the Florida Board of Nursing, according to a news release.

Denker background

Ann-Lynn Denker, RN

Denker has more than 40 years of professional experience as an RN in Florida. She was employed with Jackson Health System in Miami from 1974-2012 in various roles, according to the release. Most recently, Denker was appointed to the Health Council of South Florida. She also serves as faculty at Barry University, Miami, and director of the Florida Action Coalition’s SIP grant on nursing leadership.

Horton background

Linda Horton, RN

Horton belongs to Sigma Theta Tau, National League for Nursing, the Society for Simulation in Health Care, the Florida Healthcare Simulation Alliance and the Polk County Advanced Practice Nursing Association, according to
the release.
