U.S. News & World Report recently released the list of its Best Online Graduate Nursing Programs for 2015.
According to the U.S. News & World Report rankings, the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston ranked No. 1 on the list, followed by St. Xavier University in Chicago at No. 2.
Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and the University of South Carolina in Columbia tied for third. The University of Colorado at Denver ranked No. 5.
Duke University in Durham, N.C., Ohio State University in Columbus and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, were tied for sixth. Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, George Washington University in Washington, D.C., Graceland University in Independence, Mo., and the University of Texas in Tyler tied for ninth.
Rush University in Chicago and Stony Brook University-SUNY in New York were tied for 13th.
For the 2015 edition, U.S. News ranked schools using weighted scores based on five general categories, including student engagement, faculty credentials and training, peer reputation, student services and technology, and admissions selectivity. The rankings were calculated using survey data collected from 133 schools with online nursing masters degrees programs during the summer and fall of 2014.
