Commencement ceremonies for fall and winter 2014 graduates of the University of Maryland School of Nursing in Baltimore were held for the first time in December, marking another new tradition launched during UMSONs 125th anniversary year, according to a news release.
Ceremonies were Dec. 12 for BSN graduates at the Universities at Shady Grove, Rockland, Md., and Dec. 15, at the Hippodrome Theatre in Baltimore for graduates of Baltimores nursing programs. A total of 324 degrees were awarded, including 139 BSNs, 160 MSNs, 20 DNPs and five PhDs. Nine certificates were awarded.
