Is it OK to notify my employer by e-mail that I am resigning from my job?
Ready to Resign
Dear Donna replies:
Ready to Resign,
It is always ideal to resign in person or by telephone followed up by a written letter of resignation. If you cant reach someone by phone or in person in a timely way, then sending an e-mail will at least create initial notification. Hopefully the recipient of the email will see it in a timely manner. But it should still be followed up immediately by a hard-copy letter of resignation in accordance with your employers policies and procedures.
