Dream Fund Pediatric Endocrinology Clinic welcomes new APRN

Catherine Flynn. MSN, APRN, RN, CPNP, CDE, joined the staff at the Dream Fund Pediatric Endocrinology Clinic in Henderson, Nev., according to a
news release.

The clinic is part of the Dignity Health Medical Group, which is affiliated with the Dignity Health-St. Rose Dominican hospital system.

“I am excited to be moving my practice to the St. Rose Dream Fund Pediatric Endocrinology Clinic,” Flynn said in an interview with Nurse.com. “I have worked with children with diabetes and other endocrine disorders for 15 years. I believe that treating children is family centered. When a child has diabetes it affects the entire family and the family plays an integral part in the treatment of the disease. I include the families in making decisions about management, and I have developed relationships that span years. I treat each child as if I were treating my own.”

Flynn completed her education as a pediatric nurse practitioner at the University of Virginia. Previously, Flynn worked at the Children’s Diabetes and Endocrinology Center at University Medical Center in Las Vegas.
