How much of a difference can we make?

How much of a difference can we make in just one day?

Oct. 25 is a special day where millions of volunteers around the country will participate in a movement of community service. Make a Difference Day is an annual event hosted by USA Weekend Magazine in conjunction with Points of Light. The goal is to not only inspire others to provide community service for just one day, but to create a lifelong habit of making a difference in the world around us.

Through the USA Weekend’s Make A Difference Day website, you can find a way to volunteer in your area or start your own volunteer mission. There’s no shortage of inspiration, from innovative volunteer ideas to incredible stories of others’ influential work and how individual people can create a better world.

If you want to spearhead a movement in your area, use these leadership tools to help guide you. You also can find tips to raise awareness and inspire others to get involved through local and social media.
