UTMB nursing school professors receive Good Samaritan medals

Three nursing professors at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston were honored Sept. 3 at the Good Samaritan Foundation’s 10th annual awards ceremony in Houston, according to information provided by UTMB.

Linda R. Rounds, PhD, RN, FNP, FAANP, the UTMB DNP program director and nursing professor, received a gold medal.

Assistant professors Patricia Lea, DNP, MSEd, RN, CCRN, and Ann S. Lovric, MS, RN, received bronze awards.

Each year the Good Samaritan Foundation honors Excellence in Nursing in six categories, according to its website.
