NurseWise, a national provider of multilingual nursing and health education service, announced its new director of clinical care center outreach operations and quality, Janis M. Dougherty, RN, MSN, and its new director of clinical care center operations, Susan Schon, RN. Schon will oversee medical triage and behavioral health operations for NurseWise, according to a news release.

In July, Dougherty assumed responsibility to manage quality and outreach programs for NurseWises six brick-and-mortar call center locations. NurseWise has locations in Tempe, Ariz.; El Paso, Texas; Tyler, Texas; Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Atlanta; and St. Louis.

Dougherty brings more than 20 years experience in clinical care operations, acute care provision, health education and business management to NurseWise. She has led nursing teams within hospital and healthcare systems, securing record satisfaction scores and quality improvement achievements. Before joining NurseWise, Dougherty was the director of clinical operations for healthways from 2011 to 2014, and she served as the clinical care operations manager for Healthways from 2007 to 2011.
For the past eight years, Schon served as senior director of medical management at Managed Health Services in Wisconsin. Earlier in her career, she held positions at UnitedHealth Group, APS Healthcare, Wisconsin Health Fund and First Health.
