Perseverance

Thanks to Stacie Stopen, RN, for her article “Nothing worth having comes easy” (Nurse.com/Next-Shift/Nothing-Worth-Having) about her perserverance in succeeding on the NCLEX and her nursing career. I’m a 37-year-old nursing grad who just finished school in May and had a previous career as a crime scene analyst. I took the NCLEX twice and failed. Stopen’s testimony of perserverance and hope really encouraged me to continue on my journey to become a nurse. I know that it’s a journey and someday I will be able to reflect upon it as she has on hers.
