I have been a nurse for more than 40 years and am working on my PhD. Ive worked in several cities, and learning and doing new things is what keeps me going. Nursing has afforded me great experiences. Currently I work as a neonatal clinical nurse specialist. I teach, publish, do research, go on medical missions and still work at the bedside. Teaching and precepting new nurses is so rewarding. And there is still so much more to do. You are as bored as you make yourself. Keep challenging yourself. It will make you happy.
