CTCA Names Former Lansdale CNO as Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services

Cancer Treatment Centers of America at Eastern Regional Medical Center in Philadelphia hired Nancy G. Hesse, RN, MSN, as the hospital?s senior vice president of patient care services. Hesse brings more than 30 years of nursing leadership experience to her role.

Authoring numerous professional presentations, she has served as a presenter on patient, employee and physician satisfaction at national healthcare executive conferences. She also is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Organization of Nurse Executives and Emergency Nurses Association.

In her role, Hesse will work on several key initiatives for her team related to engagement, communication and research. According to a news release, Hesse plans to support her staff in professional growth with the particular goal of helping nurses step into advanced leadership roles. As a major proponent of clinical research, she will be working with 17 nurses who had abstracts accepted for the Oncology Nursing Society?s 39th Annual Congress gathering in California.

Hesse earned her MSN in nursing leadership from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and her BSN from Widener University in Chester, Pa. She also is certified in Emergency Nursing and credentialed in Trauma Nursing. Hesse previously served as the CNO at Abington Health Lansdale (Pa.) Hospital.
