How an RN With a License on Probation Took Donna's Advice to Find a Job and Received Multiple Job Offers.

Nurse talking with patient in doctors office

Dear Donna,

Back in April 5, 2013, I wrote to you and you answered. I just wanted to let you know that your words have inspired me so much. You gave me a positive outlook on my situation, which was difficulty finding a job because I had received my RN license with probation. I've had two different jobs, even though I was on probation. More importantly, I've had other job offers from managers who knew I was on probation, but were willing to give me a chance.

It is possible to find a job and far from an insurmountable problem. Your words of wisdom will always be with me.

Dear Feeling Inspired Even on Probation,

Feeling Inspired Even on Probation

Thank you so much for writing and letting me know how things turned out. I am so happy for you. Keep up the great work.

I have included a link here to your original question and my response to you in case someone else finds themselves in a similar situation: (http://news.nurse.com/article/20130405/ALL04/130409001#.U2Dxz2dOWM8). Your follow-up note will serve to inspire others because they can see that the extra effort is worth it and, as you say, no obstacle is insurmountable.

Best wishes,
Donna
