Tear-jerking ‘perspective’

The March End of Shift piece by Anne Cassidy Szal (www.Nurse.com/Article/Perspective-From-Grief) was so well-written, I felt the tears well by the fourth paragraph. Where I swallowed the hook was when she described the at-risk, older mother’s tattoos and gave voice to this mom’s subsequent comment, “I’m not a biker mom.” Tissues were in order as I quickly finished the article.

When tears are shed, awareness for that gift of a shared moment is recognized. I so appreciate Anne for sharing that gift of grief with a wider audience.
