Hunterdon selects nurse among 2013 class of Wescott Award winners

Maryann Holgash, RN, was selected as one of three recipients of the 2013 Wescott Awards at Hunterdon Medical Center, Flemington, N.J.

Holgash, who works in the ED, was the nurse winner of the awards, which are given each year to an individual who epitomizes Hunterdon’s culture and commitment to the health and well being of the community, according to a news release.

Three awards are given, honoring a nurse, an employee and a volunteer who demonstrate the organization’s values of caring, collaboration, communication, respect, excellence, accountability and integrity, which have made a positive difference in the lives of others.

The 2013 volunteer award went to Fred Nover and the employee award was presented to Holly Thompson, education coordinator, pulmonary services.
