SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium and Mount Edgecumbe Hospital in Sitka have hired Brad Langdorf, RN, BSN, as chief nursing officer. A seasoned healthcare executive with more than 25 years of clinical leadership experience, Langdorf assumed his new duties on Jan. 13, according to a news release. Langdorf was hired after a nationwide executive search.
Langdorf formerly was with LifePoint Hospitals, serving in clinical roles at two facilities, most recently at Lander Regional Hospital in Lander, Wyo., where he held the role of chief of nursing and clinical operations officer. In that role, he provided administrative oversight for all clinical departments of an 89-bed acute care hospital, including a 13-bed acute adult psychiatric unit and 6-bed acute rehab unit.
He also served as CNO for Colorado Plains Medical Center in Fort Morgan, Colo., where he led initiatives to improve Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems scores and core measures from the 60th percentile to the 89th percentile, according to the release.
Langdorf earned a BSN from the University of Phoenix in Salt Lake City. He is pursuing a masters degree in healthcare administration from Ashworth College in Norcross, Ga.
