RN takes over as Good Samaritan’s director of nursing for ED

Glenda Miranda, RN, has been appointed director of nursing of the ED for Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, West Islip, N.Y.

Miranda brings more than 20 years experience in emergency care and nursing leadership to the new role. She previously served as director of patient care services at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital, Manhattan, where she oversaw all inpatient units and the ED.

At Good Samaritan, her responsibilities will include oversight of the ED nursing operations, clinical care and personnel.

Miranda earned her BSN as valedictorian from St. Joseph’s College in Patchogue, N.Y. She later earned an MSN from the University of Phoenix.
