Longtime nurse receives DAISY Award at Carroll Hospital Center

Lee Ann Snyder, RN, recently was presented with the August DAISY Award at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, Md.

A nurse at the hospital for 30 years, Snyder was honored for her outstanding care of a patient in the hospital’s critical care unit, according to a news release.

“Lee Ann is an excellent nurse whose compassion, kindness and expert skill epitomizes the kind of nurse the DAISY Award was created to recognize,” Stephanie Reid, RN, BSN, MBA, vice president of quality and CNO at Carroll, said in the release. “We are proud to have her as part of our nursing team.”

Carroll Hospital Center’s DAISY Award program was created to honor outstanding healthcare professionals at the hospital. The award is given to an RN or LPN each month to recognize his or her efforts in delivering exceptional patient care.
