Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, Del., announced that Steven Rhone, RN, BSN, MS, NE-BC, was appointed vice president of patient care services. He joined Beebe Medical Center from Christiana Care Health System in Wilmington, Del., where he served as administrative director of patient access and capacity management.
At Beebe, Rhone is responsible for the hospitals nursing units and for developing and implementing nursing strategy and system policies to ensure quality patient care, according to a news release. He is a member of the executive staff.

He is committed to delivering quality patient care and services and will be a true asset to our organization and to the communities that we serve.”
Rhone has nearly 15 years of nursing leadership experience. At Christiana Care Health System, he oversaw patient access and placement services, including the transportation of critically ill patients by ambulance and by air. As part of his role, he served as the nursing executive for the systemwide quality and safety council. Previously, he served as director of patient care services at Christiana Health Care System where he had oversight for many departments, including seven inpatient surgical units. He also served as a team leader for the planning and preparation of the American Nurses Credentialing Center Magnet designation, which Christiana Care Health System received in 2010.
Rhone is a member of several professional healthcare organizations, including the Delaware Organization of Nurse Executives.
