Monmouth University confers first group of DNP graduates

Monmouth University, West Long Branch, N.J., conferred doctoral degrees in nursing for the first time in commencement ceremonies in May, with seven nurses in the initial class of DNPs.

The newly graduated DNPs are Virginia L. Carreira, RN, FNP-BC, CSN; Reneta Flaks, RN, FNP-BC; Gaye D. Iannelli-Madigan, RN, FNP-BC, CDE; Janette M. Parsons, RN, FNP-BC; Melissa Richardson, RN, FNP-BC; Barbara A. Maiuzzo Scarano, RN, FNP-BC; and Therese West, RN, FNP-BC.

Monmouth also offers an RN-to-BSN program, BS in health studies and MSN degrees and graduate certificates through its Marjorie K. Unterberg School of Nursing and Health Studies.
