Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx hosted its second annual Nursing Research Symposium, “The Role of Research in Nursing Practice,” on Sept. 18.
This symposium offered tools and resources for healthcare professionals through the advancement of clinical, behavioral and educational research within an interdisciplinary and collaborative framework.
“Education and practice grounded in evidence of effectiveness have become the benchmarks for quality nursing care,” symposium chairwoman Jane ORourke, RN, DNP, NEA-BC, CENP, director of nursing, evidence-based practice, said in a news release. “At Montefiore, we want to foster the growth of evidence-based practice by encouraging nurses at the staff level to engage in research activities.
