Prathana Langkarpint, RN, PhD, MSN, a Fulbright Scholar from Thailand, visited Resurrection University in Oak Park, Ill., on Oct. 11 to meet with faculty and students.
Langkarpint completed a fellowship in leadership training at Valparaiso (Ind.) University’s College of Nursing and conducts research there. She was introduced to Resurrection President Beth A. Brooks, RN, PhD, FACHE, toured the school with Sister Sandi Sosnowski, CFSN, director of mission and ministry at the university, and met with other faculty members and students.
Brooks hosted a luncheon in Langkarpint’s honor, and Langkarpint worked with BSN candidates in the simulation lab.
The visit concluded with Langkarpint’s lecture, “The Implications of Nursing Theory in Thai Nursing Education.” Langkarpint has used Brooks’ copyrighted Quality of Nursing Work Life Survey in her research in Thai nursing education.Prathana Langkarpint, RN, third from left, poses with faculty and staff members who hosted her visit to Resurrection University.
