Letters: Charting challenges

The June 13 cover story “Charting Challenges” is indeed an educational and interesting topic on computer literacy, especially for inexperienced nurses. Becoming computer savvy takes time and practice, and it really helps us to have more time with our patients and less paperwork to be able to give our best care to the people we serve.

I remember when I started working as a nurse in 1991. Charting was all paper based and truly time consuming. However, 18 years later when electronic record keeping was implemented in our facility, things had changed and I saw the great difference between both forms of documentation.

Also, kudos to the staff of Nurse.com for the new look and format of the magazine.
