RNs celebrate 9th Promise of Nursing for Arizona luncheon in Phoenix

The Arizona Nurses Foundation hosted its ninth annual Promise of Nursing for Arizona Celebration Luncheon honoring Arizona nurses May 6 in Phoenix. Money raised from the event is donated to the Arizona Nurses Foundation to use for nursing scholarships for Arizona students.

Helene Neville, RN, signs copies of her book.

The keynote speaker was Helene Neville, RN, a self-proclaimed “Richard Simmons of nurses” who runs to inspire others to healthful living. She set off on her 2,520-mile journey titled, “One on the Run,” on May 1, 2010.

Neville’s book, “Nurses in Shape,” helps nurses reach higher levels of mental, emotional and physical wellness. Believing that good health starts with healthcare practitioners, the book’s mission is to empower nurses to lead by example.
