Saint Peter’s Unveils Sweeping Ground-Floor Renovations

Saint Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick, N.J., has completed the final stage of a $3.25 million project to renovate ground-floor public spaces, including the construction of a remodeled and expanded customer lobby, restaurant and hospital gift shop. Patients and staff can use the new amenities.

The gift shop, now known as The Gift Shop on Park, has an inviting boutique ambience. Items for sale include plush animals, greeting cards, jewelry, handbags, baby items and more. The shop also offers everyday conveniences such as snacks, magazines, books and personal items.

Restaurant 2FIFTY4 features natural overhead lighting and bamboo plants for ambiance.

The former coffee shop now is called Restaurant 2FIFTY4 and features a more vibrant color scheme. Overhead natural lighting and bamboo plants are a large part of the design, which strives for an outdoor atmosphere. On the menu, there is greater emphasis on a wider variety of foods, including vegetarian and healthy choice offerings. There also is a to-go area for coffee, tea and fresh-baked goods.
