Emerson Plans for Celebration of the Century

As the culmination of its centennial year celebration, Emerson Hospital will host a dinner dance from 6:30 p.m. to midnight Nov. 12 at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel.

The event, “Centennial Ball: A Big Party to Benefit Little Patients,” falls on the exact date that the Concord, Mass., hospital was dedicated in 1911. Funds raised will support the redevelopment of an expanded, enhanced pediatric department.

Gala co-chairs (pictured left to right) are Sandra Curran, Liza Snell, and Denise Haartz.

“The Centennial Ball promises to be a spectacular evening benefiting the pediatric unit at Emerson,” said Liza Snell, one of three co-chairs of the event. “We will be celebrating the past and looking toward our bright future.”

The newly designed pediatric unit combines significant structural alterations and enhancements that ensure children will have an exceptional experience.

A new nurses station dedicated solely to the needs of pediatric patients will anchor one end of the unit. A coordinated color scheme of bright, cheery colors will be used throughout, to set a positive, uplifting mood.
