Florida’s VITAS RNs work with Project Medishare in Haiti

Haiti native Evelyn Bertresse, RN, spent two weeks in Haiti in March 2010, working in an ICU and pediatrics. Haiti native Yolande N. Coqmard, RN, volunteered from Feb. 18-25, 2010, with Project Medishare.

Yanick Valmond, RN

Don Dolan, RN, led an effort to collect thousands of dollars worth of water, tents, clothing, medical supplies and durable medical equipment to ship to Haiti.

Christelle Pierre Louis, RN

Haiti native Marie Louisa, RN, volunteered in Haiti for 10 days in February 2010. She worked in triage and translated Creole to English. Haiti native Christelle Pierre Louis, RN, volunteered in February 2010 and worked in a makeshift clinic in a field. Yanick Valmond, RN, born in Haiti, volunteered in March 2010 and in July. She plans to return soon.
