Question:

Dear Donna,

I am a new graduate and recently passed my NCLEX. Should I put “RN” anywhere after my name or on my resume to indicate that I passed my boards and am a RN?

Kurt

Dear Donna replies:

Dear Kurt,

Congratulations and welcome to the profession! Add RN after your name in the heading of your resume. Also, in a category titled “Licenses and Credentials” or something similar, make a statement such as: RN License: New York.

Best wishes,
Donna
