Am I doing the right thing by going back to school at age 41 to become a nurse?

Question:

Dear Donna,

I have a question of whether I’m doing the right thing going back to school after all these years. I finally have finished with my kids’ education, and now I want to finish my dream of becoming a nurse. I’m 41 years old, and I’ve been in the medical field since I was 16. What do you think?

Yvette

Dear Donna replies:

Dear Yvette,

At the age of 41, you are quite young by current life expectancy standards. Besides, age is a state of mind (www.Nurse.com/Cardillo/StateofMind).

And if becoming a nurse is your “dream,” then why are we even talking about this? Just do it, Yvette. Your future – and the world – awaits you. Read “Go Back to School and Change Your Life” at www.Nurse.com/Cardillo/BacktoSchool.

Onward and upward!

Best wishes,
Donna
