Nurses Volunteer to Help Children at Camp Oasis

Twenty-three members of the South Jersey Oncology Nursing Society volunteered their time in June to participate in Camp Oasis, a day of activities for 32 local children who have a loved one with cancer.

Children received a limousine ride to the free daylong camp, which took place at Camp Inawendiwin in Tabernacle, N.J.

Activities included scrapbooking, yoga, archery, hiking, swimming, face painting, and kite making.

Campers took part in numerous activities at the day-long camp, including arts and crafts projects.

This was the second year of the camp, and SJONS already is planning next year’s event.
