Chicago Chapter of Oncology Nursing Society Awards Loyola Nurses

The Chicago Chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society presented awards to two nurses at Loyola University Health System in Maywood, Ill.

Karen Kiley, MS, ANP-BC, AOCN, an advanced practice nurse in the division of hematology/oncology, was named Outstanding Member of the Year.

The award recognizes Kiley’s positive impact on patients and the profession of oncology nursing and her contributions to the society’s development. She also received a complimentary registration to either the ONS Congress or Fall Institute of Learning.

Stefanie Bluemer, RN

Stefanie Bluemer, RN, who also works in the hematology/oncology division, received a nursing education scholarship to pursue an MSN at Loyola University.

The $500 award — for tuition, books, or other expenses — is given to a CCONS member who is completing a BSN, MSN, post-master’s NP, or doctoral program.
