White Memorial Medical Center unveiled March 12 the newest addition to its Boyle Heights campus the Los Angeles Advanced Imaging Center.White Memorial Medical Center officials say the new Los Angeles Advanced Imaging Center was designed to look like a spa.
The diagnostic imaging center contains a GE Signa 3.0T MRI scanner and a GE Discovery PET/64-slice CT, which combines volume computed tomography images and positron emission tomography images into a single picture.
White Memorial officials say the new technology will enable physicians to provide more accurate diagnoses earlier in the disease process.
Officials also say the imaging center is designed to have the look and feel of a spa, with tranquil colors, soft lighting, and a fountain.
