A nurse from Inova Loudoun Hospital, Leesburg, Va., recently showed off the facility’s new pediatric unit to a global audience.
Sonya Sterbutzel, RN, MSN, patient care director, pediatric services, gave a tour of the unit Jan. 29 to visitors from China who are in the U.S. for six months through a program involving the George Mason University School of Nursing, Fairfax, Va.
Visitors Zhang Hongping, RN, MSM, and Nie Rong, RN, MSM, are nursing faculty members from Wuhan Polytechnic University in Wuhan City, Hubei Province.
The Chinese government sent the faculty members to the U.S. to learn more about nursing curriculum design and current nursing practices.
The visitors were accompanied on the tour by Chien-yun (Jennie) Wu, PhD, associate professor, GMU College of Health and Human Services.
