Marymount Students Win Inova Scholarships

Inova Health System of Falls Church, Va., has awarded nine students $7,500 scholarships in the second year of the Branch Banking & Trust/Inova Scholarship Program.

The program honors students at Marymount University, Arlington, Va., who are earning a second bachelor’s degree — this time in nursing.

The new recipients include Elizabeth Berger, Alexandria, Va.; Bianca Williams, Springfield, Va.; Yasmine Kletter, Montclair, Va.; Hannah Davis, Great Falls, Va.; Mallory Cordes, Fairfax, Va.; Tiffani Fuller Napier, Manassas, Va.; Stella Tchetgen, Herndon, Va.; and Norman Jacobowitz, Fairfax, Va.

The winners were honored at a reception at the home of Carl and Jossie Biggs of Vienna, Va. Carl Biggs is chair of the Inova Health Care Services Board of Trustees and a member of the Inova Health System Foundation Board. J. Knox Singleton, president and CEO of Inova Health System, also congratulated the recipients at the ceremony

The scholarship criteria includes a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher, completion of an application and essay, and a commitment to work for Inova Health System for at least two years after graduation.
