Perot Systems Healthcare President Appointed to UTA Council

ARLINGTON, Texas – Chuck Lyles, president of the Perot Systems Healthcare Industry Group, has been named to the dean’s advisory council at The University of Texas at Arlington School of Nursing. The council, which is composed of community leaders, serves as a liaison between the school and the community. Members provide advice and counsel to the Dean and faculty regarding plans and programs of the School, according to a news release.

Lyles is active in numerous community organizations. He has more than 25 years of experience in business development, operations management, managed care strategic development, and operations in the healthcare and insurance industries working first at EDS and now at Perot Systems. Perot Systems, Inc., founded by Ross Perot, Sr. in 1988, is a global information technology services provider with $2.6 billion in revenues in 2007, and 23,000 associates world-wide. Perot Systems’ Healthcare Industry Group is the company’s largest business unit, representing over half of total revenue generated. The Group’s market focus is providing innovative and strategic technology solutions for the healthcare industry in order to improve the business of care.

Lyles’ management and operational insight brings an important perspective to the council as the school of nursing continues its commitment to providing an innovative educational model enhanced by the newly developed 23 bed Smart Hospital, according to a news release.
