Nurses Turn Out for Baltimore Career Fair

Nurses from Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and Pennsylvania came together Oct. 22 to attend the Nursing Spectrum Career Fair in Baltimore.

Attendees at the event were treated to free CE courses about cosmetic dermatology, physician-nurse intimidation, the dangers of blood transfusions, meditation, and emotional intelligence.

In breaks between CE sessions, nurses were able to obtain free facials and massages, along with having their images drawn by a caricature artist.

Many nurses walked away with prizes from the numerous drawings at the event, which took place at Martin’s West.

Career fair speaker Susan Taylor, PhD, is a meditation specialist from California. She has a certification program that is accredited by the ANCC and is offered for CE by Nursing Spectrum. Log on to www.Nurse.com/ce/CE385.

Those who attended also were able to discuss career opportunities with recruiters representing more than 60 hospitals from around the region.

The next Nursing Spectrum Career Fair is planned for April 22, 2009, in Greenbelt, Md.
