Edward Hospital Shares RN News of Note

Many RNs at Edward Hospital in Naperville, Ill., have accomplishments to share.

Amy Tucker passed the critical care registered nurse certification exam. Pat Bradley recertified as an RNC-OB and in electronic fetal monitoring. Susan Dale passed the certified medical-surgical registered nurse exam.

Caren Corrigan passed the progressive care certified nurse exam. Carolyn Bik recertified as a critical care registered nurse. Cathy McElmeel passed the certification exam for certified emergency nurse. Rebecca Steinmann presented two concurrent sessions titled ” ‘Tric’-y Trauma Patients: Obstetrics and Bariatrics” and “Sudden Cardiac Arrest in Children and Young Adults” at the 2008 ENA Annual Conference Pathways to Discovery.

Patti Ludwig-Beymer, RN

Two nurses have received promotions. Marianne Spencer was named new vice president of operations and nursing.

Patti Ludwig-Beymer was named the new chief nursing officer. In 2006, Ludwig-Beymer was inducted as a fellow into the American Academy of Nursing.
