I am interested in becoming a legal nurse consultant. Do I need to be certified? If I do need to be certified, do you know any organization that is inexpensive? How can I get started or find a law firm that is willing to let me joined them?
Dear Donna replies:
No, you do not need to be certified to be a legal nurse consultant. You only need the nursing knowledge and experience that you already have. To learn more about this specialty, I suggest that you visit the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants website
Whenever there is something you want to do, it makes sense to rub elbows with those already successfully doing that thing. That means you should do some informational interviewing
If you use the Article Search feature at www.nurse.com using the search phrase legal nurse consultant, youll turn up many previous posts as well as related articles on this subject.
