Marlyse Benson

Marlyse Benson, director of the Department of Behavioral Health and Psychiatry at Trinitas Hospital, Elizabeth, N.J. (r), was the recipient of a Seventh Annual Tribute to Women Awards by the Patriots’ Path Council of the Boy Scouts of America, Florham Park, N.J. The awards honor outstanding women who serve as exemplary role models for youth through their vocations or avocations and who live their lives according to the ideals of the Scout Oath and Law.

Peggy Lauro and Jackie DiBernardo, from Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, N.J., were recently awarded oncology nursing certifications from the Oncology Nursing Society.

Sophie Flatz Murray

Sophie Flatz Murray, RN, retired (r), volunteered at the county’s Screening and Health Awareness Programs, Hunterdon County Senior Health Services, Flemington, N.J., measuring the blood pressure of area seniors, who were pleased to see her in a traditional nursing uniform.

Karen Whitmore has achieved certification as a wound care specialist at Somerset Medical Center, Somerville, N.J.
