Pompton Plains, N.J. – Chilton Memorial Hospital recently held a “Surgery in Progress” educational exhibit. The Nursing department placed interactive, hands-on displays, along with a mannequin on an operating table, in a room for all hospital employees to view.

“A Legacy of Leadership in Patient Care” was this year’s theme, hailing the efforts of periop RNs to keep patients safe from infection and other harmful elements during the preop, intraop, and postop phases, according to Claire Cole, RN, director of Surgical Services at Chilton.
