PBS Series Episode Featuring Texas Tech Wins Award

A PBS episode on the nursing shortage featuring the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Nursing has been honored with a National Award by the American Academy of Nursing.

The 13-part series titled “State of Tomorrow” focused, in part, on health challenges in Texas and strategies by the state’s public higher education institutions to provide solutions to these challenges. The nursing shortage episode showed the innovative educational programs the school has created to fill critical vacancies. The series aired in 13 markets, reaching 95 percent of Texas.
